Think Space Urban Borders Competition Submission

The ubiquitous proliferation of instant communication and interconnectivity by means of a wireless network has overtaken all aspects of our everyday life. Any architectural attempt to represent these forces deals with the contradicting need to provide a permanent enclosure for an interconnected and highly transient condition. We consider the ground plane to be the prime space where this manifestation of the contemporary city should reside. In particular, the interior and its introvert relationship with the outside. As wireless signals and the internet supersede any territorial boundary and built partition, the physical space that enacts this new social network returns to the undefined spaces of the non-plan and the indeterminate indoor.
