CV 07/10 – Fabrizio Matillana AADip PartII CV+Portfolio
Fabrizio Matillana (AA Dip, RIBA Part II) graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, doing his 5th year in Diploma Unit 14, tutored by Pier Vittorio Aureli (Berlage Institute), Barabara Campbell-Lange (Bartlett) and Fennella Colingridge (RCA). He was awarded the Howard Colls Studentship 2009 and academic bursaries from the AA throughout his 4 years. He was also put forward by the Architectural Association as the school nominee for the 2010 Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship. Previously he has studied at the University of Nottingham and obtained the Diploma in Foundation in Art and Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. He participated in the SmartGeometry Conference, sponsored by Bentley Systems in San Francisco in March 2009 ellaborating techniques of parametric representation for his 4th year thesis [In]formal Interchange for Rio de Janeiro. He has been an intern at ecoLogicStudio, working on the office’s exhibition for the 11th Venice Biennale 2008 and Youniverse Seville Biennale of Contemporary Art and has worked at the Municipality of Lima, Urban Planning Office. He participated in the International Workshop Pisco/Medellin “How to Rebuild the City” organized by Claudia Amico from NGO “Espacio Expresion” on housing project for the reconstruction of the disaster-struck city of Pisco. His proposal was taken for competition for 1 house – 1000 homes, Sydney and exhibited at the Peruvian Embassy as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2010. He has lectured and presented his work at the USMP, Peruvian University of Applied Sciences and on a Pecha Kucha event in Lima. Recently his work was selected to be exhibited alongside other AA students at the Takenaka Corporation in Tokyo.
Fabrizio Matillana (AA Dip, RIBA Part II), graduado de la Architectural Association School of Architecture en Londres, cursó el 5to año en la Diploma Unidad 14, con tutores Pier Vittorio Aureli (Berlage Institute), Barba Campbell-Lange (Bartlett) y Fenella Colingridge (RCA). Premiado con el Howard Colls Studentship 2009, recibio becas internas de la AA durante sus estudios. Tambien fue nominado por parte de la Architectural Association para la beca de viaje 2010 de Norman Foster. Previamente curso arquitectura en la Universidad de Nottingham, y obtuvo el Diploma de Foundation en Arte y Diseño en Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design en Londres. Asistió a la conferencia de SmartGeometry de Bentley en San Francisco en Marzo del 2009 elaborando técnicas parametricas de modelado en el marco de sus tesis de 4to año “Terminal Informal” para Río de Janeiro. Ha trabajado para ecoloLogicStudio en la exhibición de la oficina para la 11ava Bienal de Venecia 2008 y para Youniverse, Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo de Sevilla del mismo año y en la Municipalidad de Lima, Oficina de Planeamiento y participó en el Workshops Pisco/Medellin Como Transformar la Ciudad, organizado por Claudia Amico, Espacio Expresión y llevado al concurso 1 house – 1000 homes, Sydney y exhibido en la Embajada de Peru en Londres como parte del London Festival of Architecture 2010 . Ha dictado seminarios y presentado sus proyectos en la Universidad San Martin de Porres, Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas y en evento Pecha Kucha, Lima. Recientemente sus trabajos fueron seleccionados para la exhibicion de la AA en la Corporacion Takenaka en Tokyo.
